At Montessori Academy Training Institute, we pride ourselves on being actively focused in providing cut-edge Montessori training since 2004. At MATI we conduct our training programs at Montessori Academy, a state-of-the-art facility which affords hands-on access and experience with the entire Montessori curriculum and materials. Located in the City of Pembroke Pines, Broward County, Florida; Montessori Academy is twenty miles from Miami International Airport, twenty two miles from Ft. Lauderdale Airport, and one hundred miles from Florida’s west coast city of Naples.
Our Director, Ms. Monica Gargiulo-Benitez, is a seasoned teacher, instructor, and presenter, holding degrees in Education and certifications in Montessori Early Childhood and Infants & Toddlers from the American Montessori Society. Ms. Monica is also a founding member of the Montessori Florida Coalition, and was instrumental in the development of the Early Childhood standards for the Association of Independent Schools of Florida accreditation process. Ms. Monica has been a presenter, in both English and Spanish, at the AMS conferences for the last eight years.
My experience at MATI exceeded my expectations. There is capacity, excellence, a high degree of responsibility, each topic very well planned and with ease of transmitting knowledge, something very important that is bilingual which does not limit if you only speak Spanish.

Five years ago, I had the opportunity to receive one of the best training in my professional life. In this training, I feel comfortable learning, but learning became more straightforward because of how the guides imparted the information and practice. I also had the honor of meeting a group of amazing people. I create bonds of friendship that I will never forget.
I want to talk about the material to learn; the presentation and explanation of the information were clear. As we moved to practice, each guide showed us how to use each material and at the same time allowed us to put what we had learned into practice. I believe in putting what I have learned into practice is the most satisfying way to learn. Finally, the love with which the guide presented each area of a Montessori classroom to us and the philosophy behind it was incredible. I will not get tired of recommending this training because it is lifelong learning.
